چکیده
Lupus nephritis (LN) occurs in up to 60% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Despite current development immunosuppressant agents, LN still impairs the survival and quality life SLE patients. Receptor for advanced glycation endproducts (RAGE) is a multi-ligand receptor that belongs immunoglobulin superfamily, which strongly associated innate immune system. In present study, we examined whether RAGE involved LN. Further, explored therapeutic impact DNA-aptamer directed against on lupus-related kidney injury.

ABSTRACT Background: The prognosis of SLE is int1uenced by the onset of glomerulonephtitis. Clinical ttials in lupus nephritis have demonstrated that cyclophosphamide therapy is the superior regimen in the management oflupus nephritis for preserving renal function. Objective: The purpose of this study is to define the outcome of renal function with bolus pu lses of cyclophosphamide and steroid...

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystemic autoimmune disease with renal involvement being one of the most frequent and serious manifestations of the disease. The aim of the study is to analyze the treatment and renal outcome of patients with lupus nephritis (LN) WHO class III and IV on cyclophosphamide (CYC). We retrospectively identified 41 patients with biopsy proven LN who was gi...
متن کاملRenal replacement therapy in lupus nephritis.
The indications and the choice of renal replacement therapy for lupus patients are similar to those for other uremic patients. However, lupus patients can pose some particular problems. First, 10-28% of patients needing dialysis can have a partial renal function recovery. Therefore, the clinician has to decide whether to administer a rescue treatment, risking side-effects, or to reduce immunosu...
